The Department of Environment and Conservation has developed a framework that will guide the creation and application of environmental offsets, providing certainty for developers, advising environmental consultants and government agency staff. Offsets can now be created through direct land conservation, revegetation and contribution to scientific and community understanding of environmental values affected by development. We look forward to being able to expedite our clients’ applications and assessments through utilisation of the new guidelines.
